Nanny on medical leave!

Hui En’s nanny suffered an eye infection last week. So, Wei Wei and I took care of her for the first part of the week. Also thanks to Saniah and family who graciously offered to take care of Hui En for the remaining portion of the week.

Hui En is beginning to wean herself to semi-solid foods now. Especially porridge, Heinz baby food, baby biscuits.

Wei Wei even managed to teach Hui En to hold her bottle now! See photos below.

First McDonald’s meal.

Today Hui En got her first taste of McDonald’s food. She tasted some eggs and cheese from a bagel (breakfast meal). We were at the McDonald’s branch at Tampines Mall.

Hui En is sick! (recovered)

Today was the first time that Hui En had a fever. Went to the doctor and her temperature was measured at 39.3 degrees C. The doctor said that it could be due to the jab that she received on last Saturday or that there could be a viral infection. Anyway, the strategy now is to give her Paracetemol every 6 hourly and also to sponge her with water to cool her.

UPDATE (6 Jul.): Hui En’s temperature has gone down to 38 degrees C today. Will continue to monitor her and hopefully, she will recover quickly.

UPDATE (7 Jul.): Hui En has recovered from her fever. As told by the doctor, we will see rashes on Hui En after her recovery. Yes, there are rashes on Hui En now!
